Wataru Sato

Wataru Sato is a pianist living in Kanagawa, Japan. He has been creating electronica and modern classic music since 2010. Influenced by minimal and modern-classical music, his piano-solo performance consists of a fluent and melancholic touch, which some say recalls the natural river flow. 

"I wrote this piece as the opening to the EP, a way to lead listeners into a hazy, deeper world. The melody is melancholic, but I wanted a quiet sense that something isn't quite right to linger underneath. It's my interpretation of In Praise of Shadows, the idea that shadow and uncertainty hold a beauty of their own" - Wataru
