Raffaele Magliuolo is an Italian pianist and composer. Raised on Elba Island, Tuscany, he is currently based in Rome, where he moved to continue his studies and musical training.

His relationship with the piano began unexpectedly. At six years old, he received his first acoustic piano, yet he felt no connection to it at the time. Everything changed when he was around 11/12, during a difficult chapter for his family. After his father was imprisoned, his mother brought the family back to Elba Island and asked him to try playing again—also to fulfill his father’s dream of seeing one of his children at the piano. That moment sparked an instant and lasting bond.

He started as a self-taught musician, guided by instinct and listening, and later followed a more structured path: for the past three years he has been studying at a music academy in Rome, where he still trains today, exploring technique, composition, and different musical languages, including jazz.

Despite major challenges along the way—including a hand injury and a serious car accident that required months of recovery—the piano remained his anchor. When he finally returned to playing, it felt like being reborn, and he began composing with an even deeper sense of purpose.

Today, his sound is an intimate journey through vulnerability and strength, memory and hope. For Raffaele, the piano is not just an instrument—it is the core of his life, and the language he uses to express what words cannot.
