BIO

Biba Dupont is a musical project formed by composers and pianists Helga Blanco and Xalo Gayoso. Their work sits at the intersection of contemporary piano, ambient, and introspective instrumental music, with a strong focus on sonic detail, dynamics, and space.

The Naked City

The Naked City is an emotional map of Paris built from real places that are part of our own history. Each piece emerges from a specific point in the city and transforms it into a small scene of memory, intimacy, and drift. Rather than following a linear path, the record unfolds as a sequence of affective movements, where places are connected not by physical proximity, but by intensity, resonance, and remembrance.

The Naked City unfolds as a personal geography shaped by encounters, pauses, readings, and places one returns to over time. Each piece functions as a small unit of atmosphere: a nucleus of presence where space and emotion converge, and where the music attempts to preserve not the image of a place, but the trace it leaves in memory. The Naked City thus exists between personal memory and urban drift. It brings together city and connection, geography and emotion, and proposes listening to Paris as an inner map: not as a collection of settings, but as a constellation of living points, connected by an invisible logic that only reveals itself through the act of moving through it.

Focus Track: Like Jean-Paul and Simone
At the corner where Rue Bonaparte meets Saint-Germain-des-Prés, beneath what were once the separate apartments of Jean-Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir, the Café Bonaparte still stands. Inspired by their decades-long relationship and their daily life in Paris's 6th arrondissement, this piece unfolds as a circular, melancholic improvisation: two melodic voices in constant, mutual response — like a conversation that never quite ends.
